Sultan series are non-contact level transmitters for solids and liquids utilizing innovative technology of acoustic wave developed by HAWK Measurement Systems which is based on emission of low frequency sound waves.
In opposition to typical ultrasonic level transmitters the technology of acoustic wave is not affected by dustiness, condensation or vaporization. Additionally, emitted signal causes self-cleaning of antenna interior which eliminates the need of air purge usage in applications where medium build up on antenna is high possible.
Sultan acoustic transmitter emits a high powered acoustic wave transmit pulse which is reflected from the surface of the material being measured and returns to the device. The reflected signal is processed using specially developed software to enhance the correct signal and reject false or spurious echoes. . The measured signal is temperature compensated to provide maximum accuracy to the outputs and display.
